Depending on the condition and the level of snow, we may have to walk for 30 minutes before reaching the snowfield where we can use our skiing equipment. Having our skis on, we’ll trek up to the Angemar peak (4 hrs, ~1300 m elevation gain). We’ll ski down from the peak with the beautiful scenery of Mount Damavand and the Doberar mountain range making it more enjoyable (1-2 hrs). Day 6 – Damavand Summit Day (5610 m), Ski down to Goosfandsara
Today we get up at 4:00 to get ready for ski touring on the amazing Damavand Summit. We’ll leave the hut at 5:00 after having breakfast and putting on warm clothes (probably down jackets) due to the extremely cold weather in the morning. We have to put on headlights at the beginning until the sun comes up. We also need to put crampons on our skis as the snow is partially frozen. We’ll ski trek to the summit from a valley on the left side of the summer ridge (5-6 hrs, 1460 m elevation gain). We may also have to trek the last few hundred meters without our skis, depending on the snow conditions. Finally stepping on the summit, we’ll take photos to make this day memorable and take off the crampons and skins and start skiing down with the stunning landscape at sight (1-2 hrs to the hut). We’ll ski down smoothly as the snow has gotten softer due to the heat by noon. We’ll have lunch at Bargah-e Sevom hut and rest before skiing until we reach Goosfandsara. Afterwards, we take the Jeeps from Goosfandsara to Larijan village to relax in its hot spring and taste delicious lamb Kebabs after this adventurous day. We’ll spend the night at Rineh village.

Day 7 – Damavand Summit Day (5610 m), Ski down to Goosfandsara
Today is considered as backup day (reserved day). In case we’re unable to reach the peak on the 6th day we’ll do so today and continue with the rest of the schedule. Otherwise we’ll spend this day sightseeing in Rineh village and exploring the surroundings of Damavand.
After visiting Rineh and experiencing rural life in Iran, we’ll visit Shahandasht Waterfall located in Haraz road. This breathtaking waterfall is the largest in Mazandaran province and the highest in Iran. After spending a while listening to the calming sound of the waterfall and enjoying the sight we’ll head to visit Kafar Koli caves. These manually carved caves date back to the time Arabs attacked Iran and served as homes for non-Muslims. We’ll also visit Shekl-e Shah epigraph and stroll around Lar National Park.
