Travel Itinerary
Day 1 – Drive to Ardabil
Today you’ll be welcomed by your guide and leave Tehran for Ardabil (8-9 h, 580 km). We’ll stop shortly for lunch on the way. After reaching Ardabil we’ll continue our journey to Meshgin Shahr (1.5 h) and have dinner there. Lastly we’ll get to Shabil village (2600 m high) and spend the night in a guesthouse.

Day 2 – the northeastern camp of Sabalan (3650 m)
This morning we’ll leave the village at 8 and after having breakfast. We’ll head to the northeastern camp of Sabalan (3650 m) by 4WD cars and then ascend to 4200 meters of altitude as the first phase of the acclimatization process (2h). After spending a while stretching and taking photos at this altitude we’ll descend back to the camp and sleep after having dinner.

Day 3 – Sabalan Summit (4811m)
Today we conquer the amazing Mount Sabalan (4811 m). We begin our adventure at 6 in the morning and after having breakfast at the camp. We’ll ascend to the summit (5h) and spend a while enjoying the incredible landscape and the freshening atmosphere. The magnificent lake on the Sabalan summit gives us a great location for photography as well. This lake is frozen for most of the year. Later on, we descend to the camp; have soup and watermelon, and then return to Shabil village by 4WD cars. We’ll then take a shower, get some rest, have dinner, and spend the night at the village.

Day 4 – Hot Springs in Sarein, Drive back to Tehran
On the last day of our trip we leave the village at 9 and head to Sarein( 2h). Including more than 10 natural hot springs, Sarein has become a popular destination in Iran. We’ll spend a while relaxing in the hot springs to recover after our journey to Sabalan. Afterwards, we’ll have delicious lamb kebab and Ash-e doogh (a famous local soup) and then head back to Tehran after getting some rest. On our way to Tehran, we’ll get the chance to see the stunning landscapes of Gardane Heyran. We’ll also stop shortly for dinner. Arriving to Tehran, you’ll be dropped off at your requested location.
