Iranian Hospitality Tour Introduction

Hospitality is often defined as a host’s relationship with their guests and their behavior towards them. Iranians have been strictly devoted to hospitality since old times. They are friendly and sociable people, whose hospitality is appreciated by all those that have traveled to Iran. The traditions of Iranian hospitality are proven to be rooted way back into the history of Iran. Iranians have long been following a set of guidelines in their social behavior, some of which are based on morality and the others on religious beliefs. The famous Iranian hospitality can be experienced even in the most remote villages and at the house of poor families. This fact is even visible on some of the ancient rock reliefs of Persepolis. This Iranian virtue has become fairly famous and is one of the reasons many travelers choose to visit Iran besides its diverse tourist attractions.

There are certain rules that both the hosts and the guests follow during a traditional Persian gathering. However, your host understands that there are cultural differences and therefore doesn’t expect you to follow all of the Iranian hospitality rules.

Tour description

Traveling through Iran, one of the things you may often hear is “Welcome to Iran. You’ll be welcome to come to my house for lunch/dinner.” However surprising it may seem, all these invitations are merely due to Iranian hospitality. This famous part of the Persian culture can be seen in every part of Iran and even some neighboring countries.

During your Iranian hospitality tour, you will have the best possible experience of the world-famous Iranian hospitality. Even though there are some rules for behavior when invited to someone’s house, as a foreigner no one expects you to follow them all and won’t be offended by your probable mistakes. In addition, Iranians believe that guests should be highly respected.

During this Iran tour, you’ll meet a traditional Iranian family and have lunch/dinner with them. Luckily, the mother of the family is also a very skilled cook thus giving you the chance to taste some of the most delicious Iranian dishes. You’ll also learn about the lifestyle of an Iranian family during your Iran hospitality tour.

In addition to having lunch/dinner, you’ll have a pleasant conversation with your hosts. You can discuss a variety of different subjects with them to learn more about Iranian culture and tell them about yours. Meanwhile, you can enjoy Iranian drinks, snacks, and fruits as well to experience a real Iranian gathering.

Iran Culinary Tour Introduction

People travel for different reasons. Some find historical attractions interesting while some others are looking to relax on the beach or prefer shopping. However, some tourists mostly travel to learn new things and seek different classes to participate in. Local cooking classes are some of the most popular ones among tourists.

The Iranian cuisine is one of the most diverse and most appetizing cuisines in the world. It consists of a variety of mixed rice, stews, appetizers and also drinks and sweets. For this reason, many travelers believe tasting different Iranian dishes to be one of the highlights of their Iran trip. You can spice up your visit to Iran by taking an Iranian cooking class. North West of Iran Tour Introduction

Iran, the vast land of Persia, is home to different groups of people with different cultures and languages. Iran is one of the most ancient human settlements of the world and civilizations can be found all over the country from the Hyrcanian Forests in the north to towering mountains and dry deserts.
This Iran tour package is designed to show travelers the beauties of the northwestern part of Iran. You’ll also learn about the culture and language of several races living in the northern and northwestern part of Iran. Our journey begins in Tehran, where we can visit the most important historical sites of the last 400 years of the history of Iran. Then we visit Qazvin, the capital of Iran during the Safavid dynasty and one of the most important industrial cities in Iran due to its many factories. At Qazvin, you’ll get the chance to taste Gheymeh Nesar, a famous and delicious Iranian dish. Our nest destination is Zanjan, a city known for its special handicrafts and knives. We continue our Iran tour by visiting Tabriz, a city that has witnessed countless significant historical events from invasions to natural disasters such as earthquakes. This amazing city is believed to be built during the Sassanid era. We’ll also visit the 7000-year-old Kandovna village, one of the most unique villages in the world with only two counterparts in the world. We’ll head to Ardabil afterward and spend a night in Sarein on our way there. The city of Sarein is best known for its natural hot springs originating from Mount Sabalan. At Ardabil, we’ll visit its important attractions such as Sheikh Safi-al Din Khanegah and Shrine Ensemble (Sheikh Safi-od Din Mausoleum). Ardabil is also famous for its high-quality natural honey which is produced from flowers growing on the foothills of Mount Sabalan. Afterward, we’ll take the mesmerizing Asalem-Khalkhal road to Masuleh village and spend a night there. This outstanding village is one of the few in the world with a special stepped structure. In Masuleh, the yard of each house is the roof of the one below it. We’ll also visit Rasht and Bandar-e Anzali in Gilan province. Bandar-e Anzali is one of the important Iran destinations and is famous for its breathtaking Anzali Lagoon. Rasht is only an hour away from Anzali by car. This magnificent city was named UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy for its various appetizing dishes. There are also several vegetarian options available among Iranian dishes from Rasht. Another significant monument we’ll visit during our Iran tour is Rudkhan Castle ( Qal’eh Rukhan), an ancient castle that mesmerizes its visitors. Our journey comes to an end with a visit to Ramsar and getting back to Tehran through Chalus Road.

Introduction

Iran is one of the emerging places of ancient human civilizations. The geographical diversity in this vast country hasn’t prevented humans from forming civilizations everywhere. From Hyrcanian forests and verdurous plains to tall mountains and dry deserts, life is seen all over Iran. Iranians have also managed to adapt to life in the deserts comprising ¼ of the country. Their clever architecture style, Qanats, and wind towers are interesting things seen in the central part of Iran. This package is designed for those looking for a bit of adventure alongside visiting top cultural destinations in the country. During this Iran trip, you’ll learn about the rich culture and the ancient history of this magnificent country and enjoy spending time in the wondrous deserts. The best time for this Iran tour is in autumn and winter.
The trip starts from Tehran, the capital of Iran, where we’ll learn about the last 250 years of the history of the country. Then we’ll visit Kashan, the city of art and rose water, where you can experience staying at a boutique hotel. We’ll also spend some time in the deserts surrounding Kashan. Our next stop is Isfahan, known as the cultural and historical capital of Iran. This city includes many remarkable historical monuments, many of which are UNESCO world heritage sites. After visiting Isfahan, we’ll spend a few days exploring the most amazing desert areas in Iran and visiting attractions such as villages, sand dunes, and lakes. After our memorable adventure in the deserts, we’ll head to Yazd and visit the city of wind towers. The old part of Yazd is a UNESCO world heritage site due to its unique structure. This city also has multiple working fire temples. We’ll visit Persepolis and Pasargadae on our way to Shiraz. Dating back to almost 3000 years ago, these ancient ruins are one of the highlights of our tour. Our last destination is Shiraz, the city of poetry, arts, and wine. We’ll spend our last day visiting significant historical monuments and beautiful gardens in Shiraz.

CHEETAH ADVENTURES IRAN SKIING TOUR PACKAGE

8 DAYS IRAN SKI TOUR

Iran Ski Tour: A real adventure to enjoy skiing at Tochal, Dizin & Darbandsar ski resorts

Introduction to Iran Ski Tour

Skiing is the most popular winter sport worldwide. Iran has recently become a popular skiing destination due to the existence of several equipped ski resorts, quality of snow and the low price of skiing compared to other countries. The ski resorts in Iran are suitable for skiing between 5 to 6 months a year due to the mountainous climate. Skiing season begins in December and continues to late-March or late-April depending on the annual precipitation. This exhilarating sport can be done in several ski resorts all over the country however; the most popular ones are located near Tehran.
Dizin is the largest ski resort in Iran. It is located northeast of Tehran and near two other famous ski resorts. The altitude of this vast resort varies between 3000 to 2400 meters. Dizin ski resort is ideal for both Alpine and Snowboard skiers and features different types of lift.
Shemshak and Darbandsar are two other ski resorts located near Dizin. Darbandsar ski resort has recently been expanded and refined. The snow making machine used in this resort makes skiing possible even in less snowy months of the cold season.
Located north of Tehran, Tochal ski resort is another famous resort is Iran. It is the highest ski resort in the Middle East. This resort also includes a hotel located at 3500 meters of altitude where skiers can rest after an adventurous day. Tochal ski resort is smaller compared to Dizin and Darbandsar ski resorts however; it’s popular due to its unique location at 3500 meters of altitude and closeness to the city. Iran also has several other ski resorts available for ski enthusiasts such as Abali resort, the first ski resort in Iran, and Pooladkaf ski resort in Shiraz.
This skiing package is designed for ski enthusiasts planning to allot nearly a week to skiing in Iran. This package allows skiers with any level of skill to experience skiing in top ski resorts in Iran. The program includes 5 full days of skiing and one day of Tehran sightseeing.

Introduction

Mount Damavand (5610 m) is the most prominent peak in Iran and the Middle East and the highest volcano in Asia.

Conquering this potentially active volcano is possible through 4 main routes, all of which have stunning beauties.

The Northeastern Ridge of Mount Damavand is also the most beautiful one due to the glaciers such as Aroosak ha, Dobisel, Siole Glaciers and the well-known Yakhar Glacier surrounding it. This route is more difficult than the southern route and thus is less crowded during the high season. Many animal species such as mountain goats and eagles can be seen on this route.

In addition, the effect of sulfuric gases is less on this route. Despite being a bit cold and difficult, conquering Damavand summit by the northeastern route creates a memorable experience for mountaineers. This trekking tour is most suitable for those who wish to climb Mount Damavand differently.

Additional Information

Damavnd Trekking Routes:

The southern route is the most well-know of all. This route is mostly chosen because of its facilities such as the hut located at 4200 meters, with electricity, toilets and beds available, and its ease, omitting the need for ropes and gears. However, other routes such as the northern and western ones are more difficult and there aren’t any suitable huts available.

Weather condition:

June to September is the best time to conquer mount Damavand. During this period the weather is mostly good and snow/ rain scarcely falls. However, our guides are committed to checking the weather prior to each program. In case of an unpredicted bad weather extra days will be added to your tour.

Acclimatization and Preparation:

Our acclimatization program is resulted from years of experience in guiding various types of people through their hike and is set to be suitable for people living in locations that are near sea level high. But even people who haven’t experienced more than 3000m of height won’t have any issues during their journey.

IRAN CULTURAL TOUR FAQ

Iran Travel Experts are ready to answer your questions

Generally, April and May are the best months for traveling to Iran. The second high season period for traveling to Iran is from September to mid-November. It’s recommended to book your Iran tour 3 to 6 months in advance if you want to travel to Iran during the high season. This way, you’ll have various choices for hotels and flights and can get an early bird discount. For those interested in Iran trekking tours and mountain climbing in Iran, the best time  is during summer. The weather is rather hot at this time of the year (30-35 degrees); however, this won’t be a problem as vehicles and hotels are equipped with air conditioner. You can combine an adventurous Iran trekking tour with an interesting cultural tour.

The high season for visiting Iran depends on the type of Iran tour you choose. The best time for Iran cultural/ historical tours is during April and May. However, from September to mid-November is also a great time for traveling to Iran. On the other hand, if you choose one of the Iran trekking tours, your trip must be in summer. The high season for Iran desert tours is from March to mid-May and in October and December. Furthermore, the skiing season in Iran begins in December and ends in April. You can also combine trekking tours with Iran cultural tour packages during summer. Our experts at Cheetah-Adventures will help you plan an enjoyable Iran trip and choose the best Iran destinations. Note that hotels get fully booked quickly during the high season so it’s best to book your Iran tour 3 to 6 months in advance to have more options and get an early bird discount.

Yes. Iran is a generally safe country for travelers. In addition, a trip to Iran can be entertaining for all members of the family due to its various attractions and things to do. Read our Iran Safety article for more information.

Yes. Our Iran private tours can be altered based on your preferences. You only need to mention the desired changes in the comment section when booking your Iran tour. Our experts will contact you later and ask for the details. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to change the travel itinerary for Iran group tours except for minor changes.

Your accommodation will be in the form of bed and breakfast twin or double rooms at 3-star and 4-star hotels during all Iran cultural tours. We’ll inform you of the best options available on your tour date. You’ll have both the option of a traditional boutique hotel and a normal one in some cities that you can choose from.

Each traveler may prefer one of these types of accommodation according to his/her habits and personality features. However, we recommend boutique hotels (traditional hotel) if they are available so that you’ll be able to experience the atmosphere of a traditional Iranian hotel as well as having access to modern facilities.

All Iran cultural tour packages offered by Cheetah-Adventures Iranian tour operator include accommodation, entrance fees and transportation. You may need 10 -20 euros daily for food, if your Iran tour package isn’t full-board. The amount of money you’ll need for buying souvenirs depends on your shopping habits.

An Iran small group tour normally consists of less than 10 people. You can book an Iran private tour package with the number of your companions. Larger group tours can be perfectly performed by increasing the number of tour guides and assistants. In this case, a Persian tour guide will be designated to the tour for each 4 people for safety measures. Cheetah-Adventures have successfully performed tours with more than 20 people. Checkout our TripAdvisor Page or our Reviews Page for regarding reviews.
