Not really used to it into mountain, one doesn't need to think about anything! After that touring Iran 7 days, Shiraz, Yazd, Persepolis, Isfahan...with our patient guides. Chances were that the weather wouldn't be optimal to do the trekking, but we decided to go for it. Ali from Cheetah Adventures informed us very well before the trip about what we could expect.

We had an amazing time. We couldn't climb Damavand until the summit because of heavy snow and winds, but nonetheless it was a crazy experience. Guide Ali just went with me and my wife and it was very cosy. He is a very experienced climber/mountaineer, so we trusted him all the way.

At first I was reluctant about traveling alone but... read moreI conquered Damavand and visited Tehran with Cheetah adventures during summer. At first I was reluctant about traveling alone but my guide Mehrdad and the rest of the team made me feel included and were very friendly. Mehrdad was very responsible and a professional mountain climber. He took care of everything during the trek. The trek was planned very well and because of acclimatization I didn’t feel sick as we got higher. The beauty of Mount Damavand is unspeakable and we also saw the Caspian Sea from the peak. After we came back we went to this village and had a very delicious lamb kebab and relaxed in natural hot spring that felt very good after trekking for 4 days. We came back to Tehran later on and Maryam showed me around the city. She knew a lot about the history and showed me Golestan palace and Abgineh museum, told me about Qajar and Pahlavi kings and took me to a great restaurant in Tehran Bazaar. Cheetah adventures made my trip amazing and I want to thank everyone involved especially my guides Mehrdad and Maryam. I wish I had more time to stay in Iran but there will definitely be another trip to Iran for me. read less

Damavand. From start with web page, e-mails to clarify before booking, booking, payment and, of course most important the tour itself, all was professional and highly hospitable. No problems or distressing events. The company's strengths are the combination between professionality, knowledge, being personal and flexibility according to wishes of guests. In my case, the possibility to instant add an extra day due to two days of bad weather made it possible to reach the summit. The company does not "cut edges" to save on food, transport, accommodation etc.
Especially, many thanks to my guide Ali for very pleasant company, encouragement and professional guiding! In addition to highly memorable days in the mountains, I really appreciated the hospitality, genuineness, culture and food of Iran. I hope that the future makes it possible to come for a new visit – if so, Cheetah is a starting point! read less

As a group of hikers from Serbia we spent 10 days in Iran with main goal to reach the summit of mount Damavand and to get know Iran little bit better. Our visit turned to be much more than, it was new positive life experience. Iranians are friendly people, they love to communicate and learn about you and your culture. I will never forget accidental street encounter with Iranian professor who was interested where am I from and what is my occupation - we had very nice talk. Or the welcome flower that I received in one porcelain store in Isfahan, or cup of Safran tea on Bazaar...
Our friends from Cheetah Adventures were exceptional! They fully organized and supported our 4 days hiking to Damavand peak and rest of our stay in Iran. They provided us with all necessary supplies (food, drinks...) during our hiking. They were always there (in the background) in case of any need on the track. They followed us up to the Damavand peak to register our succes. Thank you Ali Mesbahi for beautiful song that you sang for us...
If you ask me, I will visit Iran again! But, now I will stay longer at least 3 weeks. read less

Mornings were sunny and blue skied, and the scenery got progressively amazing and otherworldly as we approached Damavand . The trails were almost empty due to the end of summer , but it really paid off for us .
Damavand finally emerged in glorious sunshine. It really felt like the perfect trip.

Our guide ALI from CHEETA ADVENTURE looked after us superbly. The increases in altitude were managed perfectly, with one acclimatization day in the 2 days to Damavand . This was particularly reassuring when we met at least two or three groups who were escaping to lower levels sick from the altitude ! The pace was also spot on as we never felt overly tired (we were fit) or rushed.

Our guide ALI was a fountain of knowledge having done the trek for many years. He looked after our safety at the more hairy bits, being careful we knew where the path was loose or slightly precarious. We felt we were good friend by the end of the trip and were really sad to say goodbye. Thank you ALI for such an amazing trip! Our porter was also great company and we had a lot of fun in their company. read less

I have to say that I was not even closely expecting to receive such a professional agency treatment like Cheetah Adventures. One of the best treatments in my life.
The team is made of professional mountaineers, engineers, young managers. Everything was planned and executed just as it was agreed, and exceeding that as well.
Experienced mountaineers led us to conquer the Damavand peak (5671m) and feel all the time comfortable and with positive attitude.
The cultural trip accross Iran major cities is well organized, great accomodation, food, guide Ghazal, driver Mr. Azimi.
I strongly reccomend Ali, Mehrdad, Soroush and team to everybody wishing to visit on of the best places on earth, Iran.

It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience and one of the most challenging yet fascinating things I've ever done in my life.
Our guide was a professional alpinist who knew the way pretty well. His great sense of humor was also a blessing throughout the tiring moments to the summit. I had an amazing time and recommend Cheetah Adventures Group to anyone who is keen to discover Iran more thoroughly. read less
