In addition to the beautiful nature, Iran has 24 UNESCO world heritage sites 22 of which are culturally significant and two natural ones. Moreover, 49 other tourist attractions such as Mount Damavand, Masouleh, Golestan National Park, Mount Sabalan, Hegmataneh, Naqsh- e-Rajab, the preserved area of Arasbaran and Blue Mosque are in the process of becoming a world heritage. According to experts in the cultural heritage area, Iran has up to 2000 sites qualified to earn a spot on the world heritage list.
In addition to all the advantages, Iran is the most budget-friendly travel destination in the world. The World Economic Forum, in a 2019 report based on analyzing 141 countries worldwide (Travel and Tourism Competitiveness index), has declared Iran the cheapest travel destination in the world.
