Travel Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Qeshm
Welcome to Qeshm!

Today we fly to Qeshm from Tehran (1072 km, 2 hours). Our flight leaves Tehran at 6 or 8 am depending on the day of the week.  Arriving at Qeshm , we’ll get to our hostel to get some rest. The hostel is a very cozy and atmospheric house, run by locals. After settling in the hostel and getting some rest we’ll head to Naz Island. This small Island is located almost 1km away from the coast of Qeshm . When the sea level reduces at the time of low tide; we’re able to walk to Naz Island as the water is only ankle-deep and enjoy the great sensation of walking in the sea. Getting back to Qeshm, we’ll have lunch and head to our next stop, the Valley of Stars. This amazing valley is famous for the unique shape of its rock, believed to be created due to meteorites by locals. We’ll spend a while exploring this amazing geological site and then we’ll get back to the hostel for dinner. You’ll have the rest of the evening to yourself.

Accommodation: Hostel on Qeshm Island

Meals included: Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Day 2 – Sightseeing in Qeshm
Today we continue sightseeing in Qeshm. First we’ll visit the valley of statues. This valley gets its name from the rocks resembling statues. These shapes were created due to erosion. Next, we’ll visit a boat workshop, one of the few places on earth were boats are still built out of wood. After witnessing the interesting process of boat building we’ll head to Chahkooh Canyon, one of the most interesting Qeshm attractions. The walls of this fascinating canyon are almost 10 meters long and the erosion caused by water has created different shapes in them. We’ll have lunch (local seafood) after exploring Chahkooh Canyon for a while and then head to our next stop. Namakdan cave is one of the most famous attractions in Qeshm. We’ll see the magnificent salty stalactites of this cave and then get back to our hostel to have dinner and rest.

Note: It’s possible to get to Shiraz by airplane (a domestic flight – 1:30 h) and spend the night in Shiraz, an extra charge will apply.

Accommodation: Hostel on Qeshm Island

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3 – Sightseeing in Qeshm
This morning our program begins by visiting Harra sea forest. This stunning forest is comprised of beautiful grey mangroves, a natural water purifier that can extract the salt from water and thus creating a suitable environment for other plants to grow. The forest is almost 30 minutes away from the hostel. Arriving at Harra sea forest, each person will be given a paddle board and a life jacket, allowing them to explore the forest. Harra sea forest is also the natural habitat of many beautiful bird species such as cranes, pelicans and kingfishers. After having some adventure in the magnificent forest, we’ll head to Laft Harbor and have lunch there. This harbor is famous for its narrow alleys and the enchanting scenery of the sunset that can be witnessed from its shore. Later on we get back to the hostel, pack our things and leave for Hengam Island (20 minutes by boat). Reaching Hengam Island, we’ll camp out in a peaceful and less crowded location and have grilled fish for dinner. Tonight we’ll sleep under the stars.

Accommodation: tents on Hengam Island

Day 4 – Sightseeing in Hormoz Island
This morning we’ll get on the boats and head back to Qeshm Island after having breakfast. Luckily, we’ll see dolphins jumping out of water on our way. We’ll have lunch at Qeshm and then head to Hormoz Island by fast boats (30 min). Arriving at the beautiful Hormoz, we’ll leave our luggage at the hostel and get ready for exploring the Island. We’ll visit the silence valley. Covered by salt crystals, this amazing valley will give you peace and positive energy. The human-like salt crystal, formed by nature, is known as the goddess of salt and is one of the interesting features of this valley. After visiting the silence valley we’ll get back to our hostel to have dinner and rest.

Day 5 – Sightseeing in Hormoz Island
This morning we’ll leave the hostel for the turtles’ beach after having breakfast. Depending on the time of the year we may be lucky enough to see the turtles laying eggs on the beach. Our next stop is the red beach. The red sand on this beach is edible and the sea is seen red due to the sand. The red beach is one of the many breathtaking wonders of Hormoz Island. Our next stop is the valley of statues. Similar to the one on Qeshm Island, this valley is famous for the interesting shapes created by erosion. Walking in this magnificent valley will also improve your creativity. Afterward, we’ll have lunch and then get to rainbow valley, the most famous Hormoz attractions. This fascinating valley is famous for its colorful soil, making it one of the most unique attractions in the world.
