North West of Iran Tour Introduction

Iran, the vast land of Persia, is home to different groups of people with different cultures and languages. Iran is one of the most ancient human settlements of the world and civilizations can be found all over the country from the Hyrcanian Forests in the north to towering mountains and dry deserts.
This Iran tour package is designed to show travelers the beauties of the northwestern part of Iran. You’ll also learn about the culture and language of several races living in the northern and northwestern part of Iran. Our journey begins in Tehran, where we can visit the most important historical sites of the last 400 years of the history of Iran. Then we visit Qazvin, the capital of Iran during the Safavid dynasty and one of the most important industrial cities in Iran due to its many factories. At Qazvin, you’ll get the chance to taste Gheymeh Nesar, a famous and delicious Iranian dish. Our nest destination is Zanjan, a city known for its special handicrafts and knives. We continue our Iran tour by visiting Tabriz, a city that has witnessed countless significant historical events from invasions to natural disasters such as earthquakes. This amazing city is believed to be built during the Sassanid era. We’ll also visit the 7000-year-old Kandovna village, one of the most unique villages in the world with only two counterparts in the world. We’ll head to Ardabil afterward and spend a night in Sarein on our way there. The city of Sarein is best known for its natural hot springs originating from Mount Sabalan. At Ardabil, we’ll visit its important attractions such as Sheikh Safi-al Din Khanegah and Shrine Ensemble (Sheikh Safi-od Din Mausoleum). Ardabil is also famous for its high-quality natural honey which is produced from flowers growing on the foothills of Mount Sabalan. Afterward, we’ll take the mesmerizing Asalem-Khalkhal road to Masuleh village and spend a night there. This outstanding village is one of the few in the world with a special stepped structure. In Masuleh, the yard of each house is the roof of the one below it. We’ll also visit Rasht and Bandar-e Anzali in Gilan province. Bandar-e Anzali is one of the important Iran destinations and is famous for its breathtaking Anzali Lagoon. Rasht is only an hour away from Anzali by car. This magnificent city was named UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy for its various appetizing dishes. There are also several vegetarian options available among Iranian dishes from Rasht. Another significant monument we’ll visit during our Iran tour is Rudkhan Castle ( Qal’eh Rukhan), an ancient castle that mesmerizes its visitors. Our journey comes to an end with a visit to Ramsar and getting back to Tehran through Chalus Road.
