Introduction to Damavand ski touring
Ski touring has become one of the most popular winter activities in the past few years. Existence of high summits and snowy mountains has made Iran an ideal destination for this sport. In addition, the mountains in Iran are free of crevasses and the risk of avalanche is less compared to other mountain ranges thus ski touring is safer. This program is designed for those interested in ski touring and skiing and want to have a unique experience. Mount Damavand ski touring program offers skiers a chance to conquer the most prominent peak in Iran and the Middle East and enjoy skiing on this beautiful mountain. Skiing from more than 5000 meters of altitude is the opportunity of a lifetime. In this program you’ll ski from the Damavand summit and descend about 2500-2600 meters until you reach the southern base camp (Goosfandsara at 3100 m). You also get the chance to see the beauties of Mount Damavand and admire them in the off season without the crowd. You’ll first climb the mountains in Doberar mountain range as acclimatization phase. Doberar mountain range contains 13 known peaks higher than 4000 meters and magnificent valleys in which you can ski. Skiing in this mountain range, you’ll gain a memorable experience with normally good snow conditions and prepare for conquering Damavand summit. Climbing Mount Damavand will be easier and more satisfying after preparing at the Doberar mountain range.

Acclimatization and Preparation:
Our acclimatization program is resulted from years of experience in guiding various types of people through their hike and is set to be suitable for people living in locations that are near sea level high. But even people who haven’t experienced more than 3000m of height won’t have any issues during their journey.
Our Guides:
Our guides are qualified mountain climbers with years of experience in leading tours and a history of conquering 7000/8000 meter high peaks in Himalia mountain range in their resume.
In addition to their experience and thorough knowledge of mountain routes, our guides have taken multiple courses in rescuing and first aid to assure our fellow mountain climbers’ safety throughout the trek.

- All Transportations (from Tehran to … and back), private air-conditioned VAN or Sedan Car (depending on the group size)
- Jeeps (4WD vehicles for the dirt roads)
- All accommodations (7 nights)
